  • WHO'S THIS FOR

  • WHY DAWN BANDS

  • How it works

Created to support independent wake-ups for teens whose bodies don’t respond well to sound-based alarms.

The Dawn Wake Up Band is designed for:

Teens who sleep through alarms

Kids with sleep inertia, ADHD, or delayed circadian rhythms

Parents tired of morning battles

Teens who need independence without stress

Dawn was created to solve a problem most alarms ignore: some teens aren’t choosing to sleep — their bodies are stuck in deep sleep. Louder alarms and repeated wake-ups don’t help because sound is often filtered out during sleep inertia, which is why mornings escalate and parents get pulled into the fight.

Dawn Bands work differently. Instead of sound, they use gentle, escalating physical signals delivered through the wrist — a signal the nervous system can register when ears can’t. There’s no shock, no pain, and no sudden jolt — just a calm, persistent wake-up that works with biology instead of against it.

Most importantly, Dawn removes the parent from the wake-up process. The band becomes a neutral third party, ending yelling, touching, and escalation. For many families, that alone is what finally changes the morning.

Our goal isn’t to “fix” teens or enforce discipline. It’s to restore peace, independence, and safety to mornings — even if it starts with just one calm day.

Most wake-up products assume the same thing:
if you make enough noise, the brain will respond.

For many teens, that simply isn’t true.

During adolescence, the body’s sleep cycles shift. When a teen is in deep sleep or sleep inertia, the brain can filter out sound entirely. That’s why alarms go unheard, louder alarms don’t help, and repeated wake-ups only escalate tension.

Dawn was designed for that moment.

Instead of trying to wake the ears, Dawn delivers a physical wake-up signal through the wrist — a channel the nervous system can register even when sound can’t. The signal starts gently and builds gradually, allowing the body to transition out of sleep without panic or shock.

There’s no sudden jolt.
No pain.
No forcing.

Just a steady signal that works with the body’s biology.

Frequently Asked Questions

My child sleeps through every alarm. Will this actually help?

That’s exactly who Dawn was designed for.

Many teens don’t wake up because their brain is still deep in sleep — not because they’re ignoring alarms. Sound-based alarms are often filtered out during these sleep stages.

Dawn uses a gentle but persistent physical signal that the nervous system can register when sound can’t. For many families, it’s the first thing that works without yelling, shaking, or repeated check-ins.

How strong is the vibration? Will it be enough?

The vibration is strong enough to wake deep sleepers, but designed to avoid shock or panic.

It starts gently and gradually increases over about a minute. This gives the body time to transition out of sleep instead of triggering a fight-or-flight reaction.

It’s intentionally different from sudden, jarring alarms — effective without being aggressive.

Is this just like a smartwatch vibration?

No, not exactly.

Smartwatches use small notification motors meant for daytime alerts. Dawn uses a purpose-built wake-up motor, designed specifically to reach sleepers during deep sleep stages.

Many families who tried Apple Watch, Fitbit, or other wearables found those vibrations were simply too weak to work consistently.

What if my child takes it off or refuses to wear it?

That concern is very common — and understandable.

Dawn is lightweight and comfortable enough to wear overnight, which makes resistance much lower than with loud alarms or bed shakers. We also provide guidance for introducing it calmly, without turning it into another power struggle.

And if it truly doesn’t work for your family, you’re covered by our 100-day risk-free trial.

Does it come with a charger?

Dawn charges via a standard USB connection.

How long does the battery last?

The battery typically lasts up to two weeks on a single charge, depending on usage.

Charging is simple and quick, so there’s no nightly maintenance or setup to worry about.
